KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Manage assurance teams delivering sustainability and risk advisory-related engagements, including delivery of reports and presentations to help clients understand and identify their material ESG issues, develop their ESG strategy, quantify ESG impacts, and improve their public disclosures.

Providing clients with advice on the initial and continuing application of relevant industry reporting Frameworks, including TCFD, SASB, GRI, CDP and Integrated Reporting.

Supporting clients with identifying and assessing climate change risks & opportunities to inform climate strategy and overall business resilience.

Leading sustainability assurance procedures of clients' non-financial information reported in public disclosures using ISAE 3000 and ISAE 3410 accounting standards.

Contributing to our business development activities, such as proposal development, marketing, and internal and external presentations on ESG trends.

On smaller ESG and risk advisory engagements – manage the engagement delivery from client acceptance/reappointment through to delivering the final report and archiving the completed files.

On larger ESG and any other risk advisory engagements – execute the tengagement delivery by supervising relevant engagement staff and managing upwards to project leaders with ownership.

Assist in managing engagements’organising staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders.

Build strong internal relationships within the BDO Risk Advisory Services Division and across other Service Divisions.

Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching and mentoring staff.

Contributing to BDO’s sustainability and risk management thought leadership.
KEY EXPERIENCE PARAMETERS

Undergraduate or master’s degree from a reputable institute on sustainability, engineering, business, environmental studies, or another related program preferably related to ESG and sustainability.

Must possess a professional certification in ESG / Sustainability.

Strong understanding of industry reporting frameworks such as the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), SASB, TCFD, and the GHG Protocol.

Knowledge and experience in enterprise risk management practices (COSO and ISO31000)
