Khalid is a Risk & Forensic Advisory Partner with BDO UAE. Khalid has over 15 years of Investigation experience in the UAE, assisting and leading government & private organisations in the UAE. In his initial years, Khalid worked for National Bank of Dubai. Khalid further served in the Fraud Prevention Department of Dubai World as a Fraud & Forensic investigator. He later headed the corporate security department of Drydocks World Dubai. He also has worked as a Director, Forensic Services, For the middle east practice in one of the big 4 audit and advisory firms in the UAE & Partner & Head of Advisory at Resilience.
Khalid's key experience includes leading several high profile forensic investigation cases from inception to deposition. Cases included embezzlements, abuse of position, fraud and gross miss conduct. He has also lead many corporate governance structural reviews in the Middle East. Such reviews included reviewing the group's corporate governance policies and procedures—delegation of authority, mission budgets, and mission resolutions by an investment committee.
Further, Khalid has also led a corporate governance review of one of the Middle East's largest ship repair and conversation companies. The review included reviewing policies, delegations matrix, board reviews and protocols, including investment resolutions approved by the higher committee.
